Magpie Murders Cast: Is It Based on True Story?
With all their twists and turns, murder mysteries have to be the most exciting type of book. When you think you know the story pretty well, you are shown that there is more to what you already know.
The most popular book by Anthony Horowitz is a murder mystery set in the present day. It was turned into a TV show not too long ago, and it has been doing incredibly well.
The book tells the story of a book editor who gets a book without its last chapter. This puts her in a tough spot. She meets one of the detectives and together they solve big mysteries that have kept the English villagers up at night.
The first series came out a little early and did so well that IMDB gave it a score of 7.3. Here is all the information you need about the second season.

She is shocked that the last chapter doesn’t seem to be there. “Whodunit without a conclusion? It won’t be worth the paper it’s not printed on “she tells you.
There’s also no sign of the author himself, and some people think he may have been killed. So Susan is on a path that will change the rest of her life.
Tim McMullan plays Atticus Pünd, a smart and complicated detective from the 1950s who is famous for solving crimes in Conway’s books.
But Alan Conway’s latest murder mystery isn’t quite what it seems, and hidden between the pages is another story that will end up changing Susan’s life. Watch out for the wicked new twist!

You Can Now Watch the First Trailer for the Magpie Murders
In July, Masterpiece PBS showed the first clip from the new version, with Lesley Manville in the lead role of Susan. In the video, Susan is upset to find out that the last chapter of the juicy manuscript she’s been reading is missing.
It’s “a whodunit without an ending,” she says. But, as you might have guessed, this is only the beginning of how this mysterious text will affect her.
Manville was excited to play the “fabulous” character of Susan in an interview with What To Watch. “She is a strong, independent woman who follows her own rules… I like her as a person because she hasn’t done what most people would have thought she would.”
