Industry Season 2 Release Date: How Many Episodes is Industry Season 2?

When Season 2 of Industry premieres, life at the premier international London bank Pierpoint & Co. is chaotic in the post-COVID era. This also applies to the youthful banking staff that trades stocks and shares.

How will working-class Robert Spearing (Harry Lawtey), troubled American Harper Stern (Myha’la Herrold), rich girl Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela), and gay old Etonian Gus Sackey (David Jonsson) handle it all with the market acting up and the trading room being more charged and intense this time around?

These individuals from Season 1 of Industry, whom we have grown to know and love, can no longer hide behind their graduation status. In season 2, they should function as fully fledged investment bankers. We anticipate that in addition to their banking responsibilities, they will continue to engage in all of their drug binges, sexual mischief, and nightclubbing. Additionally, Pierpoint and Co. have some fresh faces to mix things up a bit!

The Plot of Industry Season 2

Industry Season 2 picks up a year after Season 1, and the grads are no longer able to hide behind their graduate status because they have been hired as full-time employees at Pierpoint & Co.

Industry Season 2 Trailer

How Season 1 of Industry Ended

To convince Pierpoint & Co. to hire them as full-time employees at the bank, the ambitious banking grads Robert, Harper, Yasmin, and Gus had to deliver televised presentations in front of a panel of top management. Gus had a brief, openly eccentric outburst before leaving the room.

However, this was more of a protest against the sudden passing of his classmate Hari, who Gus had been sitting next to, and which management was eager to put behind them.

Gus’ employment is almost certainly safe because it seems like they need to keep him on their team.
Robert’s presentation looked to be going well until he started bleeding from the nose, which everyone in the know immediately attributed to his coke addiction. Some members of the panel praised him as being exactly the kind of guy the clients liked (because of his hedonistic partying with them!)

When Harper was too scared to speak, she left the room, ruining her diploma presentation. The “big cheese” at Pierpoint, who was visiting from America with a specific goal, was eager to propose to her a deal that would see his friend and former boss Eric get his job back after acting inappropriately around her earlier in the series and she had complained.

In the end, however, Harper’s team leader Daria was the one who lost her job because, according to Harper’s testimony, Daria put undue pressure on Harper to level accusations against Eric. As a result, Harper continues to work for Pierpoint & Co. We may presume that the other recent graduates have also been hired because they all appear in Season 2 of Industry.
