Will Season 10 of the Blacklist Be the Last Season of the Show?

The Blacklist is an American crime drama that started airing on NBC on September 23, 2013. Raymond “Red” Reddington James Spader a former U.S. Navy officer turned high-profile criminal, gives himself up to the FBI after avoiding capture for decades.

He tells the FBI that he has a list of the most dangerous criminals in the world that he has made over the years and that he is willing to give information about their activities in exchange for not being prosecuted. Also, he insists on only working with FBI rookie criminal profiler Elizabeth Keen Megan Boone.

The Blacklist Season 10 Storyline

Even though the plot of season 10 is being kept secret, for now, the end of season nine gave fans a pretty good idea of where it will go.

At the end of the season, we found out that Red’s trusted advisor Marvin Gerard (Fisher Stevens) was the one who killed his wife Elizabeth (Megan Boone). But even after he was found out and killed, he left one last gift, which hurt Red very much.

Wujing Chin Han one of the first Blacklisters from season one met Marvin in prison. He told Wujing that he was caught because Red and the FBI were working together. Marvin then gave Wujing a list of other people Red helped put away.

When Will the 10th Season of the Blacklist Start?

Right now, all we know is that NBC isn’t going to put it on in the fall. That happens a lot. After a successful run on Friday nights, Season 6 moved to the middle of the season. Season 7 moved the show back to the fall.

This time, though, the move to the middle of the season is a worry. The ratings are going down, and Friday nights are a hard time for live ratings to begin with.

The move to the middle of the season might just be to give the series a season to wrap up. We’ve been wondering about this for a few seasons now, but right now, this show isn’t going anywhere.

The Blacklist Season 10 is most likely to come out in January 2023. This is the time when plans are changed a bit. But NBC might have to wait until spring or even until the summer. It will depend on how the other shows are doing and whether a stable show is needed early in the season or later on.

In a recent interview with Westchester County Tourism & Film, Tom Scutro, the location manager for The Blacklist, said the following:

“It’s been a great run. It’s hard to believe this all started in 2013. I’ve worked on the show since it began, except for the pilot episode. We’re excited to be back for the tenth season, and we’ll start filming after Labor Day.

Labor Day is on the first Monday of September, which is the 5th of 2022. Around the same time last year, filming for season nine began.

The Blacklist tends to film episodes and then release them all at the same time. If this continues, the first episode of season 10 could come out in October according to digitalspy.com.
