Wednesday is an American supernatural comedy horror streaming television series based on Charles Addams’ character Wednesday Addams.
It stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character, with Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, Christina Ricci, and Moosa Mostafa in supporting roles.
Tim Burton, who also serves as executive producer, directs four of the eight episodes. It follows Wednesday Addams as she tries to solve a monster mystery at her new school.
What Will Season 2 of Wednesday Be About?
Without giving anything away for those who haven’t seen Season 1, Wednesday has a central mystery throughout the first season, as well as a number of intriguing characters whose backstories deserve to be explored in future episodes.
Season 2 will most likely focus on a new major mystery for Wednesday to solve about Nevermore and its surrounding town.
Plus, she’ll most likely have more clairvoyant developments, which hopefully means we’ll get at least one more visit from her mother, Morticia, who may have some insight into how Wednesday can best hone her abilities.

We’re guessing that Xavier’s father will appear in this story at some point—they’ve established him as someone with a lot of power and influence.
Is There a Release Date for Wednesday Series 2?
Wednesday series two does not yet have a release date, but given that the cast and crew have not yet begun filming, it is likely that it will return in 2024.
To give you an idea of the timeline, season one was filmed in Romania between September 2021 and March 2022, and the show wasn’t released until November 2022.
