Them Season 2 Plot: What Could It Possibly Be About?

In 1950s Los Angeles, the story follows a black family as they settle into a white neighborhood. African Americans, who number over 6 million, took part in a movement known as the Great Migration that took place between the 1910s and the 1970s.

Families fled the rural South for the urban centers of the West and the East to escape the widespread racism they encountered there. The Emorys were among them. During the Great Migration of 1953, Lucky, her husband Henry Emory, and their daughters Gracie and Ruby moved from North Carolina to Compton, a primarily white area in Los Angeles.

They are a black family of four whose top priority right now is getting back on their feet after what happened in North Carolina. The family finally found the dream home they’d been looking for after years of seeking.

When they arrive, however, they find that nothing has changed and that they still must overcome many challenges. Because thousands of locals started blindly following them. A group of relatives gets caught up in a terrifying game being played by their new neighbors.

The family’s home in a seemingly idyllic neighborhood of trees was degrading into a crime scene as they faced harassment, injury, and destruction at the hands of their neighbors and supernatural foes.

What Happens With the Baby Inside Them?

The initial season of the show didn’t explain what the C.E. initials on Lucky’s chest meant. We didn’t find out until episode five of the show that they represent Lucky’s dead kid, Chester Emory, whose name we originally mispronounced.

more topics:

This gives an insight into the Emorys’ early life in the Tar Heel State. Lucky and her baby are trying to escape from the Emory house, but it is besieged by men. While the lead singer of “Black Joe” wraps Chester in a cloth, the other men try a gang rape on Lucky.

Once that’s done, the boys start playing with the baby, throwing him around like a ball. Lucky, meanwhile, witnesses the horrible death of her infant. In Episode 7, when the Emory family has been forced to leave their Los Angeles home, we learn the contents of the chest labeled with the letters C.E.

What you see here is Chester’s cremated remains. After excavating his son’s grave, we learn that Lucky transported the entire site to Los Angeles. She said she was unable to walk away from him. As a consequence of his actions, Lucky is committed to a mental institution.

Is There Any Truth to the Rumor That Them Are Based on Us?

Nothing in Them is based on actual events. Many of the struggles faced by Black people in the past and present are the inspiration for the FX series Them.
