A previously great theatre that has fallen on hard times is now presided over by dapper Koala Buster Moon. He is an everlasting optimist and a little bit of a rascal who is obsessed with theatre and will stop at nothing to keep it alive.
In an attempt to salvage his dying treasure from ruin and fulfill his life’s desire, he organizes the largest singing competition in history.
