Late-night activities, beach vacations, barbecues, long weekends away from home, and sunbathing with friends and family. The list goes on, but going outside isn’t the only option. Sometimes there is nothing better than spending a quiet day curled up on the couch with a few cold beverages and your favorite TV show.
If you agree it sounds ideal, then perhaps you wouldn’t mind spending 10 episodes trapped in a brutal summer.
This gripping teen-thriller series, created by Bert V. Royal, centers on two young girls in the 1990s and the repercussions one of their kidnappings has on everyone nearby.
Since it debuted in April, it has drawn a lot of attention. For those curious to find out what all the hype is about, here is where to watch Cruel Summer and whether it is available on Netflix.
Is Cruel Summer on Netflix? If Not, Where Can We Stream It?
The first season of the show is now accessible to viewers on Freeform and Hulu. The option to buy the show’s episodes is also available on Amazon Prime Video. You won’t be able to view it on Netflix, though.
Hulu currently offers new users a free trial, which enables them to access the service for practically nothing if they subscribe. However, it is essential that you cancel the subscription before the free trial period of one month has ended if you do not want to be charged for it.

Review For Cruel Summer
Three years, all on the same June day in 1993, 1994, and 1995, are covered by “Cruel Summer.” The marketing for Freeform has been aggressive, with trailers and ads providing just the right amount of mystery to draw in viewers. Some people may have never tuned into the network once known as ABC Family daily.
The more recent programs on the cable network, such as “Good Trouble” and “Grown-ish,” will draw the same viewers. On the surface, Freeform’s marketing has been aggressive, with trailers and commercials providing just enough intrigue to pique fans’ interest.
Given its frequent associations with millennial or Disney viewers, many of these fans may not already be regular viewers of the network formerly known as ABC Family.
Starting as a joyful, if shy, and awkward, adolescent celebrating her 15th birthday Jeanette Turner (Chiara Aurelia). Jeanette entering Kate’s life as a “Single White Female” is not necessary. Instead, the story skips ahead to 1994 where we see Jeanette Turner without braces and unattractive hair, leaving us to wonder if, had circumstances been different, Jeanette may have acquired those features by just maturing into her appearance.
Even though a crime is committed, the series isn’t inherently a crime drama. An enjoyable beach book, “Cruel Summer” is a lovely slice of pleasure. Olivia Holt adopts an angry persona that is fascinating to see.
But Aurelia’s portrayal of Jeanette Turner’s earnestness and yearning to fit in is what makes her so fascinating. People who watched Amazon’s “Tell Me Your Secrets” may feel that Jeanette is just a rehashed version of Chiara Aurelia’s character there because the actress wasn’t given much to work with.
