In addition to his three supporting roles as Governor William J. Le Petomane, a Yiddish-speaking Native American chief, and “a director” about to attack Rock Ridge (a homage to Hitchcock), Brooks also dubs dialogue for a member of Lili Von Shtupp’s supporting cast.
Along with Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, and Harvey Korman, who are regulars on the Brooks show, the supporting cast also features Slim Pickens, Alex Karras, and David Huddleston.
The bandleader Count Basie makes a cameo appearance with his orchestra in his image.

Is Blazing Saddles on Netflix?
The movie is rife with intentional anachronisms, such as Slim Pickens referring to the Wide World of Sports and the Count Basie Orchestra playing “April in Paris” in the Wild West.
Blazing Saddles was chosen for preservation in the National Film Registry in 2006 after the Library of Congress determined that it was “culturally, historically, or aesthetically important.”
Sadly, it won’t be accessible on Netflix in your country or area. However, you may watch it on Netflix online if you use a VPN.
Why Do You Need A VPN To Watch Blazing Saddles?
The Netflix app is enjoyable to use worldwide, but you may have noticed that the content that is offered varies from one Netflix nation to the next. Only some nations are authorized to use Netflix’s movie and television streaming services since the content is subject to licensing laws in different jurisdictions.
Geo-restrictions are used by Netflix to ensure that only viewers in nations having streaming rights can watch Blazing Saddles, avoiding licensing concerns. Anywhere on the earth is possible while utilizing a VPN.
Your IP address will therefore represent the country of the VPN server you are connecting to when you connect to a VPN server in the USA from anywhere else in the world rather than your actual location.
By accessing the Netflix app from Asia, you can deceive the service into giving you access to the US version of their catalog rather than the Asian one.

Reviews for “Blazing Saddles”
The somewhat flimsy plot revolves around some nefarious land speculators who need to pass through Ridge Rock to build a train and plan to evict the locals. What difference does it make when Alex Karris strikes a horse in the jaw with a right cross to knock it out cold?
At its best, his comedy takes place in settings that are so offensive to taste that, to use his phrase, it borders on a foul. It’s like that in “Blazing Saddles.” Even though “Our women have been stampeded and our animals raped,” as the preacher utters, the residents choose to remain and take a stand.
After Bart refuses the advances of a man-killing woman who was forced upon him (Madeline Kahn as Marlene Dietrich—Liz von Shtupp), the citizens construct a fake village and lure the villains within. His propensity to indulge in excess has been one of Brooks’ defining traits for his film humor. A man-killing woman who has been forced on him is the subject of the comedy-drama film.
His propensity to accept extravagance has been a defining characteristic of Brooks’ films. In one of the funniest movies ever created, “The Producers,” Gene Wilder (again) choreographed the Lincoln Center water fountain in addition to the iconic “Springtime for Hitler” production routine and Zero Mostel seducing little old ladies in the bushes.
Then there is the whole Mongol (Alex Karris) situation; he is a sort of naive Paul Bunyan. Even if “The Twelve Chairs” by Brooks wasn’t as funny, it still contained some fantastic sequences, including Brooks himself as an obedient serf clinging to his master’s knee. And “Blazing Saddles” is exactly like that from start to finish, except for a few lengthy slowdowns.
