Cobra Kai Season 6 Release Date: Which Cast Members Are Returning?

The American martial arts comedy-drama television series Cobra Kai is a prequel to Robert Mark Kamen’s first Karate Kid movies.

Sony Pictures Television is the series’ distributor. Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg are its creators. Before moving to Netflix with the third season, the first two seasons of the series were available on YouTube Red / YouTube Premium.

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, who played Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence in the 1984 film The Karate Kid and its sequels, The Karate Kid Part II (1986), and The Karate Kid Part III, respectively, reprise their respective roles in the series (1989).

Cobra Kai Season 6 Release Date

Cobra Kai Season 6 has not yet been renewed. However, three seasons of Cobra Kai were released on Netflix in just twenty months, beginning with season 3 in January 2021 and ending with the fifth season in September 2022.

Although Cobra Kai fans are used to seeing new seasons on Netflix on a regular basis, the wait for a sixth season may be the longest ever.

The Cobra Kai creators have been hard at work on their brand-new Netflix project, Obliterated, which will be completed in November 2022. Second, Netflix has yet to renew Cobra Kai for a sixth season.

As a result, we don’t expect to start filming on Cobra Kai until around 2023. It implies that Cobra Kai will not return until the second half of 2023, or, more likely, sometime in 2024.

Cobra Kai Season 6 Cast: Which Cast Members Are Returning?

Though Season 6 has yet to be written, we do know that Ralph Macchio and William Zabka will reprise their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence.

Regulars like Xolo Mariduea, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, and Jacob Bertrand are also expected to return.

Terry Silver, played by Thomas Ian Griffith, is also expected to return as our hero and villain preparing for the Sekai Taikai tournament.

The future of Peyton List remains uncertain, however, as the actress said to Variety: “We’re just taking it season by season, but we all look so drastically different each season. I have no idea. “I’m not sure what they’re going to do.”

“I’d say we’d graduate by next season, but I’m not sure if they’d go any further.”

Cobra Kai Season 6 Plot: What Will It Be About?

There will be significant Cobra Kai Season 5 finale spoilers ahead. When Tory leaves Cobra Kai, the Miyagi-Do team begins planning their Terry Silver assassination.

When they break into the Cobra Kai offices to get the tape, they discover that Silver had destroyed it because they believed it would expose Silver as the perpetrator of the attack.

Tory played a recording of her previous sensei admitting to buying off the referee for the All-Valley Tournament, so the squad wasn’t out of luck.

The Cobra Kai members catch them in the act, resulting in a heated argument, but they can broadcast the video, which appears to be the villain’s final demise. But first, he has a fight with his karate coaches Johnny, Chozen, and Mike.

Just when it appears that there is no hope for the good people, Daniel arrives to challenge his former sensei to a game, which he eventually wins.

Cobra Kai Season 6: is There a Trailer?

Season 6 has no trailer, but a teaser was released on January 20, 2023, and can be found below.

While the trailer primarily focuses on the first five seasons of Cobra Kai, as well as the events of the Karate Kid films, there are some hints as to what is to come in the “final fight” of Season 6.
