Paisley was in a relationship with fellow country music singer Chely Wright in 2000. Paisley began dating actress Kimberly Williams in 2001. The singer first saw Williams ten years ago on a date to see her feature film debut, “Father of the Bride.”

Four years later, he went to see the sequel by himself. He said of Williams’ performance, “She seems like a great girl — smart and funny and all those things that are so hard to find.” Following a nine-month engagement, the couple married on the campus of Pepperdine University on March 15, 2003.
They have two children, William Huckleberry (born in 2007) and Jasper Warren (born in 2009). In 2018, the Paisleys collaborated with Belmont University to open a free referral-based grocery store in Nashville to assist the community in need.
