In her early years, Kentucky-born actress Cindy L. Garcia made television appearances on shows including Monk and The Bill Engvall Show from 2006 through 2009. She co-starred with Charlize Theron in the highly regarded movie The Burning Plain in 2008, for which she was honored with the Marcello Mastroianni Award for the finest young up-and-coming actor/actress. She then gained notoriety for her role in 2010's Winter's Bone, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. She played the daughter of a difficult mother.
